Job Summary:

The Hotel Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the hotel as well as its staff. He/she oversees all aspects of hotel operations including guest services, food & beverage, housekeeping operations, revenue generation, and maintenance/property management.

 

Responsibilities

To be selected for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Creates an operating environment that assures consistent   guest satisfaction.

2.  Coordinates the execution of activities via instructions to all   Departments.

3. Maintains Hotel product and service quality standards by  conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints

4.  Monitors the performance of the hotel through verification  and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and financial reports.

5. Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.

6. Executes marketing, sales, and operational activities,   producing results that meet or exceed the hotel’s business   plan.

7.  Monitor revenue and income expenditures.

8.  Providing timely real-time feedback to management, and   hourly associates on service and operational standards.

9.  Ensure that all departments are at optimum performance to   guarantee that the Hotel is run smoothly.

 

Desired Competencies & Experience:

To be selected for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • At least 3-4 years’ experience within the hotel industry in Hotel Management.
  • First Class/ Second Class Upper B. Sc. degree in Business Administration, MBA would be an added advantage
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adjust working hours as necessary.
  • Must be an energetic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Highly motivated, with demonstrated leadership & influencing skill
  • Problem-solving skills with strong organizational, planning & management skills 
  • Excellent communication  
  • Must be computer literate.
