Job Description

  • Responsible for new product development, sampling and testing.
  • Constitute the Product Development Committee for developing and revamping of products.  
  • Establish production specifications, standards, protocols, procedures, quality for new product development.
  • Compose and revise HACCP plans and strategies for new products.
  • Manage negotiations done by the supply chain manager with suppliers to agree contract terms and conditions that will achieve the interests of the organisation.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers’ prequalification or pre contract assessments using pre-qualification criteria or processes and make recommendations.
  • Regulate supplier database processes to facilitate transparent quotation processes and tender processes.
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation's distribution systems.
  • Ensure that documents used in the transportation of supplies (delivery note, receipt log etc) are completed and authorised correctly by the supply chain manager.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Allocate office space according to needs.
  • Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments.
  • Helping businesses to relocate to new offices and to make decisions about leasing.
  • Quality control and quality assurance regulatory functions and oversight.
  • Ensure purchasing strategies (either through supplier or local store) support organisational strategy.
  • Oversee and Manage the activities around sale of obsolete assets to interested internal stakeholders.
  • Update supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities or system flows to ensure efficiency.
  • Monitor forecast to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, quality assurance to identify or qualify new suppliers.
  • Oversee the negotiation of prices, contracts and preparation of SLAs for all company supply category.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor.
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
  • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work.
  • Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulation
  • Ensures all company assets including, machineries, vehicles and properties are in their proper state and functioning according to design.
  • Manage the activities around sale of obsolete assets to interested internal stakeholders.



  • Have a practical understanding of the relationship between the efficiency of resources, processes and profit.

·         Minimum of BSc/HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or any related discipline

·         Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, logistics or business services.

·         Experience working with an ERP inventory system, particularly Oddo.

·         Practical knowledge in inventory planning and warehousing management, quality assurance and facility management.

·         Working knowledge of lean and six sigma tools and techniques will be an advantage.


  • Membership of a relevant professional body - Chartered Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and on paper.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders with clarity of ideas and points.
  • Ability to obtain supplies at the best cost and terms.
  • Ability to plan and organise and to set priorities in order to meet deadlines and ensure efficiency.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and ERP/business and Intelligence Applications
  • Have a practical understanding of the relationship between the efficiency of resources, processes and profit.
